More About Immo

Immo is a partner with Bishop & McKenzie and a real estate lawyer who works in all aspects of commercial real estate, including commercial lending, land development and acquisitions. He believes in a business-partner approach with clients, and searches for practical, timely and cost-effective solutions in every situation. He possesses a clear and prescient approach that brings all parties including municipalities and developers towards favourable solutions. And throughout every transaction, he remains mindful of delivery service and value.

He has also developed extensive experience in the niche area of condominium property law, and works in a variety of capacities including advising condominium corporations, condominium boards and parties involved in condominium litigation.

Early in his law career, he interrupted his practice and spent a year exploring Asia, primarily in the Himalaya region. He has since made many similar trips, never being afraid to wander off the beaten path. For vacations closer to home and work, he retreats to a log cabin in a little-known Alberta coal mining town where the fly-fishing is good and nature is all around. In the summer he enjoys the inescapable freedom of riding his motorcycle on less-traveled back roads, and in the winter he enjoys snow sports in the backcountry. He is a spirited storyteller who regales listeners in English and German about his love of books, music and travel.
